HMD Global may ditch Android One UI for its own Custom Skin
Nokia mobiles till now have been using the Android One UI in partnership with Google for providing clean and bloatware free experience and upto 2 Major Android OS updates and 3 years of security patch update.
But this can change now as reported by XDA, HMD global is hiring a new User Experience designer for it's Android phones. In a job link posted on LinkedIn, the company is looking for an employee who can focus on things like creating original graphics design, developing UI mockups and prototypes, designing menu tabs and widgets, identify and trouble shoot UX issues etc.
Although there doesn't say anything about a new UI development, citing a tipster the XDA report says that this a move in the direction of making its own Custom UI.
HMD Global could have given the job description to do some changes with some of its first party apps. Just like what Motorola had did with their Smartphone there are some Motorola specific apps for customisation and the rest of the part is stock Android but not Android one. HMD Global could also do the same.
However we have to wait till any official announcement by HMD global.
Before April 8th event many changes had happened in HMD Global the Company could revamp the naming of the Smartphone.Juho Sarvikas CPO and VP of North America division announced his exit from the Company.
